The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Daytona Beach Cancer Institute 301 Memorial Medical Parkway, Daytona Beach, Florida 32117

The role you’ll contribute:

Participates in the quality care of our patients by providing medical physics services at or above the state and federal requirements as well as meeting any national standards of care in radiation oncology.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

· Supports the administration of the radiation safety program, including compliance with all regulating and certifying agencies, training of staff and supervision of source ordering, handling, waste removal and disposal

· Actively participates in developing new programs and technologies such as information management, treatment planning and new modalities

· Performs weekly chart reviews and other checks of treatment plans

· Performs dosimetric calculations for external beam, brachytherapy and radiopharmaceutical therapy

· Provides medical physics consultation to physicians, staff and patients as needed, including radiation safety for patients and family

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :

Minimum qualifications :

· Masters in Medical Physics

· Five years of clinical radiation therapy physics’ experience

· Current active state licensure or Registration (as required by State governing operations Radiation Oncology Practice) in Therapeutic Medical Physics

· Current certification by the American Board of Radiology or American Board of Medical Physics in Therapeutic Medical Physics
