Work Hours/Shifts

Full time 40 hours per week

You will be Responsible for:

Prepare anesthesia machines and carts for any surgical case.

Order and stock anesthesia supplies.

Collect anesthesia data and insurance forms.

Facilitate cases by assisting the anesthetist or anesthesiologist in transporting, preparing, and induction of anesthesia.

Assist OR personnel with prepping and positioning the patient for surgery.

Initiate and support activities to control cost.

Work independently with little supervision, but participate in the OR team.

Demonstrate knowledge of difficult intubation cart.

Demonstrate knowledge of endoscope cleaning.

Demonstrate knowledge of anesthetic medications.

Ability to work under stressful conditions.

What you will need:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One-year previous experience providing direct patient care in a medical setting required.
  • Anesthesia Tech certification required within one year of hire required.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology values and procedures required.
  • Knowledge of OR equipment and how to trouble shoot is required.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing required.
  • Additional languages preferred. 

Job Summary

Responsible for the preparation, trouble shooting, limited maintenance, and application of anesthesia administration and patient monitoring equipment used in the practice of anesthesia, under the supervision of the anesthetist or anesthesiologist.
