Audio Visual Manager - AdventHealth Central Florida

Location Address: 711 E Altamonte Drive Altamonte, FL 32701
  • Must be willing to travel between the Central Florida Locations
Work Hours/Shift: FullTime Days - 8am - 5pm / Some extended hours as needed

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Responsible for management of internal and external resources for successful project results
  • Effectively manage multiple projects
  • Responsible for the set-up, operation and strike of the audio/visual equipment within the assigned venue, project or event
  • Understand AV system functionality and installation processes and techniques
  • Takes direction for completion of team objectives in assembly of gear and checking equipment from crew chief and/or lead
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in the use of personal computers including such programs as MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Positive, professional image
  • Lead AV setups from start to finish
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Responsible for looking ahead for barriers that may affect AV implementation and develop strategies to resolve unforeseen problems.
  • Accountable for assisting in maintaining venue or event specific inventory of all Technical equipment
  • Keep open lines of communication with management at all times
  • Ensure installation, testing, and troubleshooting of AV systems which includes displays, projectors, video conferencing equipment, control systems, etc
  • Review performance and deliverables and regularly meet with client/subject matter export to ensure compliance with their requirements and expectations
  • Source new vendor partnerships
  • Communicate proactively with stakeholders
  • Understand desired event outcomes and contribute to planning and implementation of technical solutions to achieve desired outcomes

Qualifications
What You Will Need: 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Flexible schedule and some travel required during certain time periods
  • In-depth knowledge of AV equipment set up and technical uses.
  • Experience with some or all of the following – audio mixers, microphones, PAs, projection, stage lighting, data display, LED wall systems, video switching, audio recording and video cameras.
  • Experience with Mac and PC Operating systems and software.
  • Experience with Presentation Software. (PowerPoint, Keynote)
  • Experience managing others
  • Great customer service skills with positive energy
  • Exhibit good judgment and decision-making skills

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL PREFERRED:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years and 5-years’ experience in relevant field
JOB SUMMARY: 

The Audio Visual Manager performs professional and technical work in the field of live event productions. This includes the operation of equipment for a live show or event. Responsibilities include developing and producing corporate and Central Florida Division event and programs which include the design, set-up, execution and strike of lighting, audio and video equipment. This position requires excellent communication and customer service skills. Accountable for assisting in maintaining venue or event-specific inventory of all technical equipment. Ensure the maximum in client service, operational efficiency and profitability levels.
