Work Hours/Shift:

Full Time Days

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Performs architectural maintenance
  • Builds doors, frameworks, windows and partitions as needed. Ensures that carpentry work is completed to meet applicable codes,
  • standards and plans
  • Constructs and repairs structural woodwork and equipment, working from blueprints, drawings, or oral instructions
  • Calculates quantity of materials needed and turns in requests for lumber, hardware, etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications

What You Will Need:

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Ability to generate requisitions for materials and supplies. Ability to maintain inventory

• Ability to respond to emergency calls in a timely manner

• Ability to interpret blueprints and work from sketches or verbal instructions

• Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English

• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:

• Knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing. Carpentry, within the Healthcare field

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • High School Grad or Equivalent and 2 plus years’ experience


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

• Associates degree or Technical degree in a related field, or combination of High School degree and related experience

• Three years of technical experience

Job Summary:

Constructs, installs, repairs structures and fixtures. Provides assistance to departments as needed to maintain a safe patient and staff

environment. Maintains all safety standards regarding work activities and is knowledgeable with the local building fire codes.

Maintains understanding of TJC regulations and provides support in meeting their requirements.
