Work Hours/Shift:

Day Shift

You Will Be Responsible For:

Answering physician phones during lunch when forwarded to a centralized location.

Assists in scheduling patient appointments during lunch.

Assists offices in working FD claims on hold, keying inpatient consults, claims on hold, code entry on certain specialties.

Work quality list and reach out to patients appropriately

Work tickler file for offices.

 Assists AA in coordinating and scheduling meetings for administration and other areas as assigned, arranging for meeting space, visual aids, agenda material, refreshments, etc.

Performs Administrative Assistant duties when requested by Vice President.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Minimum of 2 years working knowledge of billing and coding required

Job Summary:

Performs a wide range of secretarial duties, coding, and billing functions.  This person will be responsible for answering phones for administration and for forwarded practice phones during lunch.  Responsibility to create patient cases and making appointments in the Electronic Medical Record.  Work claim holds and denials in the Electronic Medical Record.  Identify patients needing yearly physicals, WWE, mammograms, colonoscopies and other medical follow-ups, calling patients and making appointments.
