Work Hours/Shift:

Part Time Days

24 hours a week

Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday

8:30AM – 4:00PM

You Will Be Responsible For:   

  • Responsible for scheduling outpatient procedures and ensuring correct pertinent information is obtained.
  • Scheduling patients for Outpatient Chemotherapy, Radiology, Cardiology and other hospital procedures as needed by the Oncology practices
  • Collecting and verifying demographic, insurance and relevant clinical information
  • Verifying accuracy of order and scanning into medical record
  • Calling patients to complete appointment scheduling
  • Demonstrate and promote high standards for quality and productivity
  • Work collaboratively with Cancer Center team members to ensure a positive patient experience
Qualifications

What You Will Need:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Up to 2 Years of Position-Related Experience
  • Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute
  • Medical terminology
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to operate a multi-line phone system

Job Summary:

The Centralized Scheduler is responsible for scheduling outpatient procedures and ensuring correct pertinent information is obtained. This position requires medical terminology, excellent phone skills, typing 35 wpm and excellent customer service skills.  Working knowledge of physician practice and a good understanding of radiology procedures, chemotherapy and oncology scheduling experience is strongly preferred.
