Work Hours/Shift:

Full Time/Days

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Communicates with courtesy and expediency when interacting with internal or external customers—in person or on the telephone.

  • Performs accurate patient in-take for examination including assessment and vital signs.
  • Encourages and demonstrates teamwork by pulling charts, following up on results, answering phones, and communicating with patients and physician offices.
  • Performs front office responsibilities as assigned, including creating patient charts ensuring proper documentation/reports and formatting are included while assuring dictation is appropriately filed and identified.
  • Coordinates to schedule procedures and ensures efficient processes while maintaining efficiency patient work-up flow and triage responsibilities.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and utilization of office and medical equipment and assists RN coordinators.
  • Demonstrates ability to accurately obtain demographic and insurance information at the point of scheduling and search for patients correctly.
Qualifications

What You Will Need:

  • High School diploma/equivalent.
  • Completion of accredited course in Medial Assisting or Licenses Practical Nurse
  • Minimum of One (1) year Medical Assistant experience (beyond externship) in a physician office and experience with Medical Front Office functions.
  • Current, valid CPR certification is required (BLS)

Job Summary:

Provides clerical, reception, and patient access support in delivery of patient care in an office setting. Responsible for assisting nurse coordinators with office operations including but not limited to scheduling outpatient testing, post-procedure follow-up phone calls, requesting and obtaining records for mandatory registry compliance, scanning records into patient chart, pre-procedure insurance verification with physician offices, filing.
