Job Function
The Charge Nurse accepts the responsibility and accountability for the entire unit during a designated shift and the evaluation and treatment of all patient age groups. He/She is responsible for planning, supervising and evaluating the nurse care of patients and for correlating the nursing process, the medical plan of care and policies.
Reports to Med/Surg DirectorQualificationsEducation:
Florida licensed to practice as a registered nurse; BSN is preferred.
Experience:
Two or more years of recent clinical experience in acute medical-surgical experience; previous Charge Nurse or related management experience is desirable.
Licenses/Certificates:
Florida licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse.
BLS is mandatory within 1 (one) week of employment.
ACLS is mandatory within 30 days of employment.
