Work Hours/Shift:

Full Time

  • Will Be Responsible For:
  • Utilization of collaborative practice models.
  • Engagement and inclusion of APPs in Medical Group initiatives.
  • Clarification of the APP role within the Medical Group.
  • APP-related state regulation and policy issues.
  • Performance evaluation process development.
  • APP professional development and support.
  • Recruitment, credentialing, retention, onboarding and orientation.
  • Peer review, coaching and problem solving.
  • Provide services similar to those of a physician.
  • Examine patients, take medical histories, maintain patient records, identify health risk factors, prescribe medications, make referrals
  • and otherwise treat health conditions.
  • Focus on patient wellness and disease prevention.
  • Provide health education services and/or counsel patients on how to make healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Provides episodic and chronic care, screening, and education to patients.
  • Supports and follows the most current evidence-based guidelines of practice in providing quality patient care.
  • Achieves company objectives related to healthcare quality, patient engagement, and finances.
  • Will need to work weekdays, occasional weekends and nights for call coverage.
  • Approximately 50% administrative / 50% direct patient care time. This split may flex over time.
  • What You Will Need:
  • Masters and 3+ years experience
  • 1 years Leadership Experience
  • Other Advanced Practice RN
  • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert
  • APRN Nurse Practitioner
  • Physician Assistant
  • MSN (Masters of Nursing)
  • 3 + years' experience
  • 1+ year leadership experience
  • Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Licensure as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the State of Florida.
  • Advanced Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant Certification
  • Provides direct care with licensing credentials under the auspices of supervising MD.
  • Valid AHA Advanced life support certification (ACLS, PALS, NRP) per specialty/unit requirements.

  • Job Summary
  • The Chief APP Officer is responsible for acting as a resource and liaison between APPs and the Medical Group's executive team and
  • advise the Medical Group on all operational and professional matters relating to the role and function of this position. The Chief APP
  • Officer also functions as a member of the medical care management team for physician practice patients. The Chief APP Officer may
  • diagnose medical conditions, plan and implement treatment collaboratively agreed to in the AdventHealth Medical Group medical
  • staff delineation of clinical privileges for Advanced Practice Providers.
