Work Hours/Shift:

You Will Be Responsible For:
 
  • Oversees daily management of all assigned projects and responsible for ensuring timely and thorough completion, communication about barriers/solutions and resources needs. Makes process and/or organizational structure suggestions for improvements and changes as needed.
  • Provide recommendations for process improvement.
  • Partner with finance to develop financial goals for each practice and/or physician on an annual basis.  These goals will be written and part of an action plan that will be the basis for activities throughout the year.  These activities include finding cost efficiencies, growing volume, growing revenue, marketing, and revenue cycle management.
  • Coordinate a monthly review of the financials with each physician to ensure the physician understands and adjusts to changes in the financial environment and develop, analyze and review monthly scorecards and patient volumes with key stakeholders
  • Ensure proper documentation, reconciliation, and processing of billing records daily.
  • Work closely with Physician Services, Revenue Cycle, and Operational support teams to onboard new practices and providers.
  • Responsible for building annual budgets through a zero-based budgeting model.
  • Work with the accounting team to ensure that all expenses are being coded appropriately.
  • Produce reports on monthly variances and creates action plans to get the practice back on budget if there are any negative variances.
  • Responsible for assisting the physician in maintaining a safe and clinically successful practice, including coordination of routine practice audits for clinical best practice, safety and documentation. 
  • Perform the daily chart processing if necessary, to serve as back-up and oversight.
  • Manage the departments Quality Assurance program, ensuring appropriate and timely reporting, collection and review of incidents and other quality data to help achieve desired quality measures.
  • Responsible for maintaining mechanisms for measuring and improving patient satisfaction.
  • Develop long-term professional relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Serve as liaison to the hospital’s executive team, surgical and nursing staff and serve on hospital committees as required.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the practice is in compliance with all regulatory bodies, including, but not limited to, Joint Commission, HIPAA, AHCA, federal, state, city and county regulations, and all patient Medical Record guidelines. 
  • Responsible for knowing and utilizing the computer systems implemented in each physician practice/department.  The Director should have sufficient personal knowledge of these systems to be able to efficiently enter and abstract data for use in improving practice/department operations.
  • Works closely with IT to ensure that all providers have access to all systems and technology for optimal success.
  • Accountable for the compliance and maintenance of the facilities for each practice/department, which includes routine checks on equipment for safety. 
  • Oversee schedule orientation and manage credentialing, certification, training and other items to maintain hospital privileges.
  • Manage and audit physician and CRNA schedules to ensure parity.
  • Work closely with Medical Director of Anesthesia to manage daily OR and OB room assignments, call schedules and related matters.
  • Ensure that all providers throughout the service line have completed their annual education.
  • Complete all functions of payroll on a biweekly basis.
  • Complete and process all provider expense, reimbursement and extra shift pay in a timely manner.
  • Processes provider CME requests for reimbursement.
  • Collaborates with HR/Physician Recruitment with recruitment and the hiring process as it relates to CRNAs, APPs and physicians
  • Serve as liaison to the hospital’s executive team, surgical and nursing staff and serve on hospital committees as required.
  • Accountable for development and implementation of policies and procedures that document and support the practices and the goals of the hospital.
  • The Director will be experienced with the reimbursement methodologies, coding environment and billing practices for each of the specialties represented in the group.
Qualifications
What You Will Need:

  • Knowledge in coding, billing and reimbursement.
  • Unrestricted Driver’s license required.
  • Strong financial and business operations background with ability to think critically and strategically
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health, Business Administration or any related degree of studies or related experience.
  • Master's degree preferred
  •  Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) preferred                                                                                     
Job Summary:

The Director of Anesthesia Operations is responsible for the successful and optimal operations of the Anesthesia department at AHMG-East.  The incumbent will provide administrative oversight and leadership with the collaboration of department medical directors and AHMG-East executives.  The Director of Anesthesia Operations is expected to establish and cultivate supportive relationships/partnerships with Anesthesia Physician Leaders, CRNAs, hospital and medical group administrators. The incumbent will be charged with identifying areas in need of process improvement, development and the execution of action plans around such activities as they relate to practice/department management and operations.  The incumbent will also be responsible for other key operational functions such as onboarding providers, supervising staff, developing goals and programs initiatives, ensuring departmental compliance, maintaining quality metrics, revenue cycle functions and managing the budgets.
