You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Advocate for patient, family and staff.
  • Assist supervisors with professional development of their respective staff.
  • Assume responsibility for supervisory performance evaluations.
  • Complete special related tasks as assigned by the Administrator.
  • Conduct regular meetings with the patient care supervisors and the administrator.
  • Counsel supervisors regularly regarding management of team members to provide for a quality clinical product.
  • Develop professional and administrative skills through attendance at pertinent staff development meetings, educational activities and professional affiliations.
  • Direct Patient Care Supervisors to carry out responsibilities according to department policy.
  • Ensure professional standards of practice are maintained by nursing and all other disciplines providing patient care.
  • Establish and conduct an ongoing quality assurance program to improve patient care services.
  • maintain and adhere to agency policies and procedures
  • Organize staff development programs for all disciplines.
  • Participate in department committees and community awareness programs.
  • Participate in performance evaluations of all patient care staff.
  • Provide assistance and direction to the supervisors in all areas of patient care delivery and staff management.
  • Provide effective utilization of patient care staff.
  • Provide oversight to staff performing CLIA waived tests
  • Recruit and orient Patient Care Supervisors.
  • Recruit and oversee orientation of all patient care staff.
  • Oversee orientation of all field staff laptop training.

What You Will Need:

  • At least one (2) year of home health or public health experience
  • At least one (1) year of supervisory/leadership or administrative experience
  • Familiar with state and federal rules that govern home health
  • Valid RN Florida License
  • Valid DL
  • Experience using HomCare HomeBase EMR

Job Summary:

Accountable for the clinical product through effective case management and maintaining a well informed and trained work force to achieve quality patient care through creative planning, supervision, counseling and evaluating the clinical and managerial performance of the Patient Care Supervisors. Assist and consult with and advise Director of the daily operation to ensure that department goals are met. Fulfill the role of Nursing Director as outlined in Florida Administrative Code Minimum Standards for Home Health Agencies.
