The role you’ll contribute:

The Employee Relations Supervisor is responsible for the implementation and execution of the company’s employee relations programs, policies, and procedures per AdventHealth guidelines. The employee relations supervisor will be responsible for managing team members in the day-to-day performance of their job. The supervisor is required to maintain a positive working relationship with department leaders, human resources partners, and employees. Identifies and analyzes issues, provides recommendations for resolutions to complex employee relations issues and processes.

This position will provide a proactive approach in ensuring that the department projects/goals are met. The supervisor will counsel and apply advanced knowledge to employee relations activities, model critical thinking for complex problems, leads and demonstrate a high level of integrity and in-depth knowledge to ensure compliance with Company, state, and federal laws. This position is expected to demonstrate a high degree of independent decision-making, judgment, and accountability

  • Directly supervise assigned staff, providing guidance, feedback, and coaching on individual and team performance outcomes
  • Monitor, assign, and follow up on work distribution to the team to ensure service and operational level agreements are achieved
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in the areas of employee relations process namely subpoenas, unemployment claims, separation agreements, wage audits and performance management policy interpretation etc.
  • Serve as a resource and first point of escalation for team members and a consultative resource for facility HR and leaders
  • Provide assistance in all areas of work support during high peak times and/or to offset gaps in resources
  • Ensure customer service, data integrity, and productivity expectations are met
  • Assist in the resolution of complex or escalated team member and business leaders’ inquiries
  • Liaise with or HRSSteams to collaborate on solutions on escalated issues
  • Maintain understanding of HR policies and procedures
  • Address training needs for new and current employees
  • Produce and maintain functional records and reports
  • Identify and develop recommendations for process and service improvement
  • Lead special projects as assigned
  • Escalate appropriate requests to Snr. Employee Relations Manager
Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years’ experience or equivalent experience in relevant field
  • One year directly supervising or overseeing the work of others
  • Diversified experience in human resources field or in a generalist role, preferred
  • Three years’ experience in customer service field, human resources preferred
