You Will Be Responsible For:

Supervision

Management

•         Budget Planning -  Perform the research and planning need to create, then submit the capital and operational budgets for the team.  Assist other teams in providing the necessary budgetary information for annual budgets and project-related budgetary costs.

•         Business Acumen and Partnering -  Participate in both learning and sharing business related knowledge that will better enable the team, as well as other cross-functional teams, in the support of critical business, clinical, and infrastructure release systems.  Partner with other cross-functional teams to achieve team, department and organizational objectives and goals.

•         Coaching and Development -  Provide the necessary employee coaching end development, both technically and professionally, to enable and empower the employee to succeed within the organization as well as become experts within their technical field.

•         Performance Reviews -  Develop the employee job descriptions and evaluations that are required by the organization for the annual performance reviews.  Complete the necessary review responses and employee reviews for each member of the Regional Systems Administrator Team.  Provide follow-up feedback to employees through-out the year on their overall performance within the team.

•         Policy and Standards -  Work with the architect of the Regional Systems Administrator Team, other cross-functional teams, and leadership, in the research, development, publishing, and support of policies and standards that support the organizational objectives and goals.

•         Project Management -  Work with team resources, cross-functional teams, and vendors in the research, planning, and execution of complex enterprise level projects.

•         Recruitment and Hiring -  Review and recruit perspective employees to the team and organization.  Schedule and perform technical and team-oriented interviews of those identified in the recruitment process.  Complete the needed documentation and coordination required for onboarding of new employee to the team.  Assist other managers in the recruitment and interview process for their respective teams.

•         Resource Planning – Provide supervision and guidance to the Regional Systems Administrator Team in the coordination and assignment of Regional System Administrator team resources to organization projects and support tasks.   Work with cross-function teams and leadership in the planning and assignment of resources needed to achieve organization objectives.

•         Technical Planning - Develop of strategic roadmaps and related timelines that help position the Regional Systems Administrator Team to meet both the short-term and long-term technical and business related objectives of the organization.  Provide the required management oversight to guarantee the successful completion of the listed projects and timelines.

•         Vendor Management -  Build and maintain successful vendor relationships that help the team and organization identify and deploy the best technical solutions needed to meet a project or organizational goal.

Vulnerability Management

•         Drive vulnerability remediation initiatives across all Adventist Regions and Hospital locations.

•         Security - Establish, review and update security standards for the server infrastructure systems at AIT in relation to organizational and best-practice objectives.  Ensure that all data at rest is secure and encrypted according to HiTrust, HIPAA, and SOC requirements.

•         Enterprise Downtime Cycle Management

o   Provide Enterprise manager level coordination and support for the monthly downtime process:

§  Test Downtime

§  Communication Downtime

§  Enterprise Downtime

§  Enterprise Downtime 2

§  Ad Hoc\Zero Day Downtimes

o   Communicate status reports to site and corporate leadership for the team of projects and support issues.

•         Operating System Lifecycle Management

o   Provide enterprise manager level coordination and support for OSLM

o   Communicate status reports to site and corporate leadership

•         Disaster Recovery - Work with other technical teams and coordinate storage resources in the planning and support of the scheduled Disaster Recovery tests for designated mission critical systems.

•         Monitoring and Optimization - Manage and participate in the monitoring, optimization and diagnosis of currently deployed infrastructure solutions. Provide the appropriate documentation to management, detailing the root cause analysis of outages, performance concerns, proposed resolution and optimization options.

•         Technical Research and Evaluation - Perform in-depth research, evaluation and analysis of application and storage technologies. Maintain vendor relationships and coordinate vendor activities where needed.  Provide both in-depth and high-level proposals to management based on performed research, analysis, and results from POC deployments.


Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

•         Proven skills in the resource management and guidance of a highly technical team of System Administrator team members.

•         Proven skills in the performance management of the members of the Systems Administrator Team, which includes aspects such as accountability assignment, review of accountability obtainment, employee development, and performance reviews and management.

•         Proven skills in planning, developing, and implementing a strategic architectural roadmap for the Systems Administrator Team to help achieve organizational goals.

•         Proven skills in a breadth of technologies that assist in the support of security initiatives and vulnerability remediations.

•         Proven skills in the management of complex enterprise level projects that require the collaboration and utilization of resources within cross-functional application, business, and technical teams.  Project management should follow formal project methodologies to develop, document plans, timelines, scope, communication plans, and expenditures.

•         Proven skills in communication, both written and verbal, with all levels of organizational leadership, including senior leadership.

•         Proven skills in the management of change and guiding the team through the change to meet the objectives of the organization.

•         Proven skills in the developing and maintaining successful relationships with third-party application and hardware vendors.

•         Proven skills with the compliance of ITIL, ITSM, and HiTrust standards.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:

•         Technical writing skills

•         Effective developing and delivering presentations to leadership.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

•         Associate degree in Science in areas such as Computer Science, Information Systems or Information Technology.

•         Minimum of 10 years in the direct support, including a broad spectrum of the following technologies: Windows, Linux, VMWare,  HPE Oneview, HPE iLO, CommVault CommCell, VmWare VSphere, Symantec Antivirus (Symantec for End Points), Microsoft Software Center Configuration Manager,  IBM BigFix, Microsoft PowerShell, SolarWinds, and StruxureWare

•         Minimum of 5 years in the development, planning and support of a VMWare virtual and multivendor physical infrastructure that hosts mission-critical or related operational systems.

•         Minimum of 3-5 years in the leadership (I.E. team lead or architect) of a technical team of System Administrators or similar operations-oriented technical field.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

•         B.A. or B.S. in Science in areas such as Computer Science, Information Systems or Information Technology.

•         Experience working in a healthcare environment.

•         Experience managing projects in a complex enterprise environment, involving cross functional application, business and technical teams.

 

Summary:

The Enterprise Manager of the Server Vulnerability Remediation team reports to the Senior Manager Enterprise Solutions.  The position oversees the management of a team of highly-technical System Administrators, providing strategic direction and leadership in the research, planning, deployment, continued support, and decommission of mission-critical systems. The Server Vulnerability Remediation team is responsible for identifying and remediating operating system and configuration related vulnerabilities.

This position requires the active collaboration with other cross-functional teams to provide a stable, performing, and highly-scalable server infrastructure, including technologies such as physical and virtual servers, LAN/WAN networks, and VMWare virtualization.  Lastly, the Enterprise Manager of Server Vulnerability Remediation Team is responsible for all administrative and personnel aspects of the Vulnerability Remediation Team, which include budgeting, employee development, performance reviews, and resource planning.
