Work Hours/Shift:

 Full Time/Day

You Will Be Responsible For:

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops annual goals and objectives for environmental services consistent with the mission and strategic plan of the organization

  • Assigns duties to ensure work tasks are accomplished efficiently and ensures that adequate staff and supplies are available for the shift

  • Reviews and updates policies and procedures to insure they remain in compliance. Ensures compliance with JCAHO, Federal, State and Local regulations and standards

  • Prepares, evaluates and controls the department's annual budget

  • Regularly surveys departmental procedures for adherence to acceptable cleaning practices

  • Supervises all staff by assigning work, training, hiring evaluation performance, progressive discipline and recommending termination as is appropriate

  • Resolves patient satisfaction concerns in a timely manner

  • May be responsible for clean linen distribution

  • Maintains all tracking and accountability of linen supplies

  • Performs other duties as assigned


Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Ability to assist in maintaining man-hours and supply costs

  • Ability to manage the day activities in supervising staff including training, hiring, terminations, orienting and evaluating performance

  • Knowledge about best environmental practices

  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

  • Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • High School degree and related experience

  • Three years of technical experience

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

?         Associates degree in a related field

?         Five years of technical experience
