Work Hours/Shift:

Full Time/Nights

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Communicates with courtesy and expediency when interacting with internal or external customers —in person or on the telephone.
  • Incorporates Caring Model behaviors and culturally competent care into daily practice.
  • Considers factors related to safety, effectiveness, cost and impact on practice when ordering supplies and complies with decisions made for staffing adjustments.
  • Documents routine rhythm strip each shift and when arrhythmia occurs for each telemetry patient.
  • Demonstrates collaboration and teamwork in managing patient flow-i.e.: communicates with bed placement and nursing supervisors/CV Coordinators any system or telemetry related issues.
Qualifications

What You Will Need:

  • Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Prior related work experience in a healthcare environment
  • High School education or equivalent.

Job Summary:

Responsible for continuous observation and documentation of cardiac rhythms displayed on the monitor screen of the telemetry console and for identifying and reporting cardiac arrhythmias/dysrhythmias.
