You Will Be Responsible For:

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Cultivate, solicit and steward individuals for gifts to Foundation campaigns and initiatives
  • Help donors accomplish their philanthropic goals and ambitions through a relationship with our organization
  • Secure individual annual, major and planned gifts with the goal of raising $1-$1.5 million annually through direct solicitations in face-to-face meetings and other forms of communication
  • Execute a stewardship cycle continuum of identification, cultivation, plan development, solicitation and stewardship resulting in meaningful gifts
  • Manage a portfolio of 150 donors and donor prospects, primarily individuals and philanthropic families
  • Identify and qualify new gift prospects, and cultivate and maintain relationships as appropriate
  • Lead the prospect identification process for the Foundation’s Grateful Patient Program
  • Manage relationships with hospital ambassadors for Grateful Patient Program
  • Acknowledge all gift donors appropriately and complete contact reports for all donor interactions
  • Develop individual donor strategies, along with materials, to realize, renew and upgrade donor gifts
  • Utilize broad knowledge of the principles of fundraising, including continuing education and remaining current in best practices
  • Work with Director of Individual Philanthropy to set personal work goals
  • Work with Event and Stewardship Specialist to acknowledge major donors through public and private recognition and events.
  • Attend, participate in and assist with implementation of Foundation and AdventHealth events which may be held during working hours, or on evenings and/or weekends
  • Manage the intake and solicitation of in-kind gifts
  • Manage employee campaigns and initiatives
  • Represent the Foundation team and model excellence in team leadership and collaboration
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications

What You Will Need:

•    Bachelor’s Degree            

•    Three or more years of position-related experience

Job Summary:

The Individual Philanthropy Officer is responsible for the design, development and implementation of strategies for the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of individual donors to the Foundation. The Officer will support the Foundation’s annual fund, campaigns, grateful patient program, planned giving efforts, employee campaigns, fundraising communications, events and other special projects in support of AdventHealth. This position reports to the Director of Individual Philanthropy
