Information Technology Specialist -AdventHealth Altamonte


Location Address: Altamonte Springs, FL 32701


Work Hours/Shift:

  •  Full Time Days

You Will Be Responsible For:  

  • Administer, maintain, and monitor data communications network, equipment and operational systems to ensure that network is available to system users.  Resolve data communications problems.  Create and maintain operational systems procedures and reports.   Perform technical evaluation, installation, maintenance and support for all computer systems software, including core system.
  • Participate in all systems updates, releases and conversions.  Maintain and monitor all network and systems related hardware and software to ensure the network is available to system users.  Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, replacements, upgrades or coordinates vendor assistance.  Communicates appropriately and effectively with staff to provide accurate and timely technical assistance. Responds to queries either in person or over the phone and follows up to insure issue has been resolved.  Provides on-site and remote support on all applications/hardware for all branch and/or satellite locations and ATM’s. Educates/trains staff on various applications and system functions.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of new technology projects as directed by CEO and/or COO.  Coordinates assistance from third parties as needed for installation activities such as; installing new computer equipment, hardware, programs, and cabling; ensuring accurate completion. Install hardware and software as directed by CEO and/or COO. Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records. 
  • Monitor and maintain the Credit Union’s Website, insuring that content is accurate, timely, and consistent with the Credit Union’s policies and procedures. Ensures that all information on the Website is monitored for accuracy and timeliness.  Monitors and maintains software licenses to ensure compliance with vendors’ regulations.  Develops, maintains, and/or coordinates information and content for Website.  Creates and/or coordinates newsletter articles, event notices, promotional campaign information, and rate updates. Responsible for uploading the Credit Union’s Website content and processing of all updates and uploads as directed by the CEO and/or COO, Serves as liaison between the Credit Union and its Website provider for updates/issues/projects outside of his/her access authorizations.
  • Provide ATM oversight.  Monitor and maintain the Credit Union’s ATM network; ascertaining that all ATMs are operating properly and resolving issues quickly when an ATM is off line or inoperable.  Serves as liaison between the Credit Union’s network switch and its ATM vendor.  Identifies, troubleshoots, resolves, and/or coordinates ATM installations, relocations, swaps and/or communication updates. Monitors and maintains video security of ATM network; ascertaining that all ATMs are operating properly and resolves issues quickly.
  • Serve as point of contact for daily check processing. Troubleshoot and correct errors with systems and equipment in a timely manner to minimize the risk of loss due to invalid, fraudulent, or NSF checks. Coordinate with third parties as needed.
  • Serve as the Credit Union department Information Systems (IS) Coordinator for Florida Hospital. Responsible for data security and granting and/or removing the Credit Union’s employee access to the Florida Hospital Internet.   Meets with employee/requester and determines their needs for access to requested Internet, Website, and other online accesses.  Verifies this need with the employee’s supervisor.  Gains final approval from COO and/or CEO; grants access and submits request.  Reviews and removes permissions as directed by COO and/or CEO. Resets and/or cancels employee OPID’s, set-up and maintains email groups for new and existing Credit Union employees and departments. The IS Coordinator is the IT liaison between the Credit Union and Florida Hospital MIS when ordering computer and telecom equipment, scheduling repairs, and point of contact for resolving network and telephone issues.     
  • Create custom reports, on the Credit Union’s data processing core system, as requested by CEO and/or COO and/or work with Vendor to complete request.


What You Will Need:

  • Ability to follow instructions and respond to management direction. Ability to work independently and with teams.  Well organized and accomplished in task management.  Ability to handle multiple priorities and issues to facilitate appropriate deployment of system escalation, resources, and Credit Union support in a timely manner or within deadlines.  A self-motivator who readily accepts new tasks and projects. 
  • Knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act Compliance and other laws, policies, and regulations related to the position.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of and experience with Micro Soft operating systems and application software being used to provide support to employees and members.   Ability to resolve, coordinate, monitor, and document information technology projects to accomplish goals and objectives.  Ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve equipment and operating system issues. Knowledge of Website hyperlinks, anchors, and Hyper Text Markup Language.
  • Excellent communication skills to include written and verbal. Strong sense of accountability and follow through.
  • Ability to pass credit union insurance bond check
  • Minimum three (3) three years related experience in electronic services technology
Job Summary:

The Information Technology Specialist will administer, maintain, monitor, support and repair the Credit Union’s network and all peripheral hardware, data communications, software, equipment and operational systems, in a responsive and professional manner. Perform troubleshooting, maintenance and provide assistance to end users.  Oversees new electronic services and technology projects.
