Work Hours/Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm
 
You Will Be Responsible For:
  • Serves as knowledge source or mentor for existing and new Administrative Radiological Facilitators.
  • Assists Radiologist by monitoring and prioritizing all the PACS worklists for critical exams, STAT exams, established turn-around times for exams, incomplete or broken studies, corrects hanging protocols, one off reads.
  • Liaison between Radiologists, Director of Practice Operations, Radiologist Facilitator Supervisor and the Administrative Radiological Facilitators.
  • Assists the Radiologist with providing timely results to ancillary departments and physician offices.
  • Personally follows through with communicating clinical information and observations to the radiologists, referring physicians, and other healthcare providers. Provides warm phone transfers to Radiologists and other departments.

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

  • Associate’s degree
  • Bachelor's degree in Radiological Sciences, preferred 
  • Two (2) years radiology experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS), required
  • Demonstrates calm, professional and effective listening and speaking skills, and applies nonverbal communication techniques as appropriate during all communication.
  • Demonstrates a willingness to learn/adapt to new technologies and protocols and help develop the knowledge and competency of coworkers and Radiology team members.
  • Proficiency in multi-tasking by monitoring worklists, handling multiple phone lines, performing administrative functions such as maintaining reading room cleanliness, and when authorized by Medical Staff, assisting with procedures.
Job Summary:

The Lead Administrative Radiology Facilitator, reporting to the Radiology Facilitator Supervisor, provides guidance and scheduling support for the Administrative Radiological Facilitators and may assist in their evaluation.  Responsible for assisting the radiologist to streamline workflow processes and manages exams once they reach Archiving Communication Systems (PACS), ensuring a timely reading and report delivery to ordering and referring physicians.  Evaluates studies, recognizes discrepancies and resolves issues or brings to the attention of the Radiologist, Radiology Facilitator Supervisor and Director of Practice Operations.  These responsibilities involve participation in a variety of technical and administrative processes which deliver quality care to physicians, ancillary staff and patients.
