You Will Be Responsible For:


Performs nursing care for assigned patients within the limitations of licensure and nursing department policy and licensure.
  • Observe patient/family needs in relation to presenting problem, care needs, physical condition and learning need.
  • Observation on all patients and follow up as per policy
  • Identifies problems and/or nursing diagnosis and plans for nursing interventions.
  • Anticipates patient care problems and initiates corrective actions.
  • Recognizes abnormal diagnostic laboratory data, radiologic data and reports results to RN or physician
  • Check patients in and assist with the front desk duties (answering phones, scheduling, etc.….)
Implements nursing actions to achieve patient care goals.
  • Real time documentation
  • Reviews and updates task list during shift
  • Establishes priorities of patient care based on the needs of the patient
  • Implements a comprehensive patient care plan that includes baseline admission data, plans for treatment and goals for discharge
  • Recognizes emergency situations and takes appropriate actions
  • Maintains a safe environment for patients and families
  • Evaluate and complete nursing assessment for patients
Participates in the evaluation of patients and families.
  • Participates in multidisciplinary patient care conferences
  • Confirms patient’s understanding of care and treatment received


Qualifications

What You Will Need:
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • State of Florida LPN License
  • BLS from the American Heart Association
 
 
Job Summary:

Under the supervision of a registered nurse, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides fundamental physical and psychological nursing care to patients as part of the multidisciplinary team in accordance with the hospital’s mission, physician and patient’s expectations. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) shall be responsible and accountable for making decisions that are based upon the individual’s educational preparation and experience in nursing.
