Work Hours/Shift

Part Time/Weekdays

You will be responsible for:

  • Prepares patient, exam room & verifies lab results (if required) for procedures & assists physician during stereotactic biopsy, localizations or other exams.
  • Using various types of radiology equipment such as vacuum assisted biopsy devices, stereotactic biopsy equipment & machine attachments with care and safe practices.
  • Completes medical record according to policy & procedure for exams being performed and verifies accuracy of transmitted images to PACS or other designated electronic imaging system.
  • Troubleshoots equipment in the event of error, failure, complications or downtime/
  • Responsible for safely transporting patients via wheelchair, bed, stretcher or escorting ambulatory visitors/patients.
  • Provides excellent customer service to patients, physicians and visitors.


What you will need:

  • Graduate of AMA approved Radiologic Technologist program.
  • Minimum 1 year radiology experience.
  • Minimum of 1 or more years of mammo experience.
  • Experience with breast biopsy procedures
  • State of FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license.
  • ARRT (R) or ARRT (R)(M)
  • BLS from American Heart Association

Job Summary:

The role of the Mammographer is to perform examinations according to established protocols while rendering safe and compassionate care to the patient.  The Mammographer is to assist the physician in performing procedures by utilizing the skills and equipment specific to their profession.
