Schedule: Full Time

Shift: 8a-4:30p

The role you’ll contribute:

The role of the Mammographer performs examinations according to established protocols while rendering safe and compassionate care to the patient.  The Mammographer is to assist the physician in performing procedures by utilizing the skills and equipment specific to their profession.  

The value you’ll bring to the team:

  • Performs QA on units to meet the requirements of the FDA, MQSA, ACR and other accreditation affiliates.
  • Using various types of radiology equipment such as vacuum assisted biopsy devices, stereotactic biopsy equipment & machine attachments with care and safe practices.
  • Possesses ability to recognized gross abnormalities & notify physician of these findings.
  • Prepares patient, exam room & verifies lab results (if required) for procedures & assists physician during stereotactic biopsy, localizations or other exams.
  • Assists physician in cases of adverse reaction, performance of interventional procedures using sterile technique and in acute emergencies when necessary.
Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Minimum qualifications:

  • Graduate of AMA approved Radiologic Technologist program
  • Minimum 1 year Radiology experience
  • State of Florida Certified Radiologic Technologist License
  • ARRT (R)(M)
  • BLS-CPR certification
