Work Hours/Shift:
Relief-Blood Banking
Weekend Hours and some relief hours during the evenings and nights
You Will Be Responsible For:

Shares technical knowledge with co-workers; assists with training & orientation of new employees/students & serves as a resource to current staff, students, & physicians.

Qualifications

Bachelors’s Degree

No Previous Experience Required
-
Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP) certification or equivalent or advanced degree and able to meet CLIA’s 88 standards for high complexity testing
-
Certification or equivalent required upon 90 day evaluation date.
Job Summary:
The Medical Laboratory Scientists performs laboratory analysis requiring a complex network of steps & variables. Confirms & verifies, correlates & interprets test results utilizing in-depth knowledge of techniques, principles, instruments, & physiology. Recognizes technical, instrumental & physiological problems, identifies the cause & evaluates alternative solutions. Operates, maintains, & repairs equipment. Establishes & monitors quality assurance program.
