Work Hours/Shift:

Full Time Days

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Resolves customer service issues in a timely and efficient manner. Communicates issues to Operations Manager.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in performing technical Imaging procedures on all patient age groups and ability to teach the same.
  • Provides imaging procedures to all patients, regardless of age, race or sex.  Provides patients with efficient and courteous care.
  • Assures that all staff technologists are proficient on the use of their specific imaging equipment and the department's policies and procedures.
  • Efficient utilization of department supplies and resources.
  • Efficient utilization of assigned FTEs - all staff (FT, PT, PRN and Agency).
  • Demonstrates proficiency in performing technical imaging procedures safely and in accordance with UCH standards of care.  Ability to teach same.
  • Is familiar and complies with appropriate JCAHO standards and directives.  Able to teach the same.
  • Develops, updates and implements a procedure manual for facility according to specified methods described by Medical Director to ensure standardization across all facilities.
  • Keeps current on ongoing peer review.  Works with QA coordinator to identify and resolve issues.
  • Demonstrates evidence of continuous professional development
  • Maintains satisfactory participation and attendance at required and non-required staff development programs.
  • Keep up with any additional certifications that become available.

What You Will Need:

  • High School graduate or equivalent is required.
  • BLS certification
  • Graduate from an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technologists.
  • 8 years’ experience as a radiologic technologist, CT, MR, Ultrasound, or Nuclear Medicine
  • Board Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Certified by State of Florida, Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services, Division of Office of Radiation Control (Florida Statue 468).
  • Any combination of 3 advanced certifications.
      • Radiography ARRT (R)
      • Computed Tomography (CT)
      • Magnetic Resonance Imaging ARRT(MR)
      • Ultrasound ARDMS or ARRT
      • CMNT or ARRT Nuclear Medicine

Job Summary:

With initiative and independent judgment, performs advisory and professional duties, in supervising the work of the Staff Technologists and other related auxiliary personnel. Serves as a liaison between the radiologists and staff technologists in matters of patient care and procedure. This is a working supervisor position.
