Work Hours/Shifts:

Full-time Day Shift

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Maintain successful principles of management, coaching and supervisory leadership and the ability to allocate appropriate resources to effectively meet care and or service expectations and team needs
  • Develop, implement and monitor PI initiatives for the unit
  • Facilitates effective communiction, problem solving and conflict/complaint resolution
  • Works with HR Recruiter for staffing which may include screening, interviews and selection of candidates to be hired
  • Maintain staff turnover rate and develops methods to decrease turnover by identifying/selecting effective, diversified staff and ensuring their development & growth
  • Makes rounds on the patient care units and is available as needed for staff & patient related issues
  • Identify unit staffing needs effectively based on identified productivity levels
  • Plans and schedules the work of employees assigned to the unit, coordinating optimum use of available personnel
Qualifications

What You Will Need:

  • ASN degree required; BSN preferred
  • Two years OB experience required
  • NRP & ACLS within 6 months of hire 
  • STABLE certification preferred
  • BLS certification required
  • Current KY RN license

Job Summary:

The OB Manager oversees the OB department and is responsible for the planning and comprehensive operations of the department on a daily basis. Major responsibilities include maintaining established departmental policies, procedures, objectives, QA programs, safety & environment, infection control standards and collaborating with hospital team members.
