Work Hours/Shifts:

Full-time Day Shift 

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Reviews patient satisfaction scores with staff at staff meetings
  • Discusses ways in which employees can contribute to patient satisfaction
  • Reviews monthly departmental financial statements and researches variances to budget
  • Reviews productivity reports as often as merited and changes staffing levels to reflect appropriate hours per unit of service.
  • Works with HR Recruiter for staffing which may include selection, screening and interviews
  • Ensures employees are properly oriented and trained for specific job responsibilities
  • Ensures initial and on-going competency is up to date
  • Ensures each employee is evaluated in accordance with hospital policies
  • Consults Human Resources for guidance in progressive counseling and terminations
  • Develops annual budget

What You Will Need:

  • BSN degree required; MSN preferred
  • Previous management experience preferred
  • Previous OR experience required
  • CNOR preferred 
  • Current KY RN license
  • Current BLS/ACLS & PALS required

Job Summary:

The OR Nurse Manager is a designated frontline position charged with day-to-day management of operations, while ensuring delivery of patient care standards and/or services consistent with established hospital, statutory, regulatory and JCAHO compliance requirements.  This position coordinates and facilitates the team’s achievement of optimal daily performance and development.  Knowledge of and willingness to drive patient experience/patient satisfaction scores is required.
