You Will Be Responsible For:

Promotes the philosophy, mission and vision of AdventHealth Medical Group and Adventist Health system to employees, patients, and other contacts outside the facility.

Leads and directs the onboarding subordinates to ensure a smooth transition for all physician practices and new employees.

Implements AdventHealth Policies and procedures and provides initial and follow-up training and support for all new physician practices/ new employees.

Demonstrates understanding of the policies and procedures for Physician Enterprise, to ensure development of accurate, timely and responsive plans.

Conduct initial practice assessment plans for each new practice and provide an assessment of team performance to the respective Practice Administrator.

Collaborate with Practice Administrator and other managers to manage and track work process and make recommendations for process improvement.

Provides on-site support during practice acquisitions.

Responsible for all activities related to converting physician practices into AdventHealth, but not limited to: training, developing implementation timelines, space planning, AR transition planning, and coordination with AdventHealth Medical Group Operations team.

Ability to package and articulate benefits of change/value.

Demonstrates knowledge of global physician healthcare issues, including managed care reimbursements, physician/medical staff credentialing and governance.

Strong project management skills and follow-through from vision to execution, with measurable results to the bottom line.

Oversees collection of all data necessary for medical staff privileges, malpractice, and managed care


What You Will Need:

  • Knowledge of fiscal management

  • Knowledge of governmental regulations and compliance requirements

  • Knowledge of human resources management techniques, principles, and practices

  • Knowledge of computer programs (Microsoft Applications: PowerPoint, Word, Excel)

  • Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision-making

  • Ability in establishing and maintaining an effective working relationships within a team environment

  • Must have strong organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to research and prepare comprehensive reports

  • Ability to listen compassionately demonstrating effective problem-solving and critical-thinking techniques to areas of concern to patients and employees without appearing judgmental are essentials.

  • Maintains communication with Onboarding Director on a consistent basis.

  • Travel outside the office will be required at times (up to 50%).

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 3-5 years’ experience in medical group practice environment.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare, business or related field.

  • Provides management and leadership to subordinates on the onboarding team.

  • Handles all timekeeping, corrective actions, reviews, and coaching for direct reports i.e. all management human resource functions.

Job Summary:

The Onboarding Manager effectively manages all transactions of the on-boarding process in order to successfully integrate a Provider and new employees into new positions within an AdventHealth related entity. The Onboarding Manager also oversees all provider location moves and provider departures.  The Manager will ensure newly hired or acquired physicians, staff, and practices are operational within AdventHealth by dealing with, among other things, the physicians/practices current equipment, computers, software, real estate, etc. and replacing it when necessary to be consistent with AdventHealth’s standards and practices. Works closely with Credentialing Specialists and Compliance Team and monitors all aspects of their tasks ensuring quality and timeliness of processing.  Responsible for providing support to individual
