Work Hours/Shift:
- Full Time, Monday-Friday.
You Will Be Responsible For:
- The Physician Office Supervisor is responsible for planning, controlling, organizing and directing the day-to-day operations and activities of the physician affiliate office or physician department in conjunction with Practice Manager and/or Director of Practice Operations.
- Supervises the physician affiliate office/department in a cost-effective, efficient manner assuring that staff provides high quality care in a courteous and friendly atmosphere.
- Regularly reviews charge, scheduling and other financial reports along with billing practices to assure physician and office reimbursement is appropriate
- Assists the Practice Manager and/or Director of Practice Operations in preparation of annual budget, as requested
- Properly prepares check requests along with office and/or physician Expense Reports and Petty Cash Reimbursement/Reconciliation form in accordance with policy
- Demonstrates ability to read and understand expense reports and works with Practice Manager and/or Director of Operations regarding variances. Understands budgetary limitations and helps office to maintain budgetary limits.
- Properly processes invoices for payment in accordance with hospital policy
- May prepare and track data which reflects turnaround time and test results.
- Is responsible for training, development and assignment of tasks to the physician affiliate office staff.
- Provides input for employee periodic and annual evaluations
- Participates in monthly staff meetings. Minutes and a roster are maintained.
Qualifications
What You Will Need:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two years’ experience as a lead role in a medical setting or other supervisory related role.
- Experience in management of multiple practices or specialty practices desirable.
- Must have knowledge of TJC requirements and local, state, and federal regulations.
- Bachelor of Business Administration or healthcare related field preferred.
- Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
- Certified Medical Office Manager preferred.
