Work Hours/Shift: Mon-Thurs 8am-5pm, Fri 8am-3pm
You Will Be Responsible For:
  • Collects all data necessary for medical staff privileges, malpractice and managed care within 30 days of signed LOI.  Ensures these steps are completed prior to provider start date.  Updates physician/practice licensure including DEA and medical licenses
  • Provides regular, thorough reports on provider status to the applicable leaders based on the format/schedule determined.  Follows chain of command in alerting Director, Vice President, COO when timelines have been missed or are in jeopardy
  • Works closely with Risk, AH Medical Staff, Managed Care, and AHHS to ensure timely credentialing completion.
  • Provides credentialing information and detailed instructions to provider immediately following signed LOI
  • Coordinates credentialing related tasks for provider separations, practice relocations, and practice closures along with Director of Operations
  • Coordinates provider orientation and training schedule and conducts new hire paperwork processing meetings
  • Ensures provider background checks and drug screenings are conducted and reported
  • Notifies all applicable AHMG departments of impending provider start, transfer, or separation  
  • Coordinates collection and distribution of all provider status related forms (change form, Provider Responsibility form, practice update form, etc.) related to provider changes
  • Responsible for other provider management related tasks as assigned by the Transition Manager
Qualifications
What You Will Need:
  • High School Diploma/ GED, required 
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, preferred 
  • Medical environment or personnel experience, strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Must have excellent customer service, time management, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Presentation skills
 
Job Summary:

The Provider Onboarding Coordinator, under the direction of the Transition Manager, is responsible for all aspects of the onboarding of all new providers joining AHMG.  This includes facilitating the credentialing process, coordination of orientation and training, communication to all impacted departments with updates on provider onboarding statuses and progress as well as processes related to practice closures, relocations, and provider separations. The Provider Onboarding Coordinator will also assist with direct communication to new hire providers to ensure onboarding efficiency and timeliness.
