You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Serves as coordinator with accreditation agency. Serves as a subject matter expert on internal and external accreditation standards. Schedules and maintains accreditation meetings, updating the committees on current and future plans and procedures, capabilities and actions
  • Provides education to address accreditation changes and gaps in accreditation compliance. Provides guidance to leaders and staff to ensure they understand accreditation requirements
  • Maintains accreditation expertise through independent study as well as attending education workshops, tracking and reviewing regulatory changes, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies. Participates and leads process improvement projects relating to accreditation activities or improvement of customer satisfaction.
  • Tracks and trends quality issues, analyzes data, prepares reports for presentation to leadership and others as needed.
  • Coordinates initiatives and programs to maintain pharmacy operational areas and medication management programs in constant state of survey readiness for all applicable regulatory and accreditation standards
  • Provides tools for ongoing measurement and reporting of compliance with accreditation standards. Supports development and monitors completion of facility plans of correction
  • Oversees quality and accreditation related committees, including but not limited to: Safety, Policy and Procedure, Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI).
  • Coordinates Responsibility for the Operation of The Quality Management Program and serves on the quality management committee as needed.
  • Involved in new process reviews to ensure quality and accreditation standards are maintained.
  • Coordinate, Reviews, and Implementation of Contracts and BAA related to Commercial Insurance, Government Insurance and Drug Manufacturers.  

What You Will Need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare related field
  • Past experience, interest, and understanding of accreditation processes
  • 1-3 years’ Experience in process improvement, regulatory/accreditation programs, or health plan operations
  • Experience in quality management, preferred
  • Advanced degree in healthcare field, preferred
  • Previous experience in healthcare, Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM), managed healthcare service organization, insurance company, or other health related entity, preferred
Job Summary:

The Quality Compliance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the pharmacy meets accreditation, quality, and regulatory survey requirements.  The Coordinator performs systematic reviews of current and prospective processes to assure compliance with pharmacy regulations.  The position coordinates quality related committees and provides direction to the members.  Researches quality related issues for trends and reports data to leadership and other pertinent staff.  Interacts with all levels of the organization in a trouble-shooting and problem-solving capacity. Works and communicates under the supervision of the Accreditation Manager. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all
