Work Hours/Shift:
  • PRN/Day
You Will Be Responsible For:
  • Maintains current, valid CPR certification and Radiology certificate.
  • Prepares patients for radiology procedures.  Takes x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
  • Uses a gonadal shielding when possible for all patients of childbearing age and all pediatric patients.
  • Develops and processes radiology film.
  • Maintains x-ray film files in a neat and orderly fashion.  Ensures that reports and/or films are available for the physician in a timely manner.

Qualifications
What You Will Need:
  1. High school graduate or equivalent.
  2. Graduate of a recognized Radiology Technology program
  3. 1-year medical office experience preferred
  4. Must be willing to float to other FHMG practices, within reason, when patient load, vacation schedules etc. make it necessary.
  5. Demonstrates ability to communicate by reading, writing legibly, speaking and comprehending English effectively in order to carry out job requirements.
Job Summary:

The Radiology Technologist under the direction of the Office manager/Clinical Supervisor performs radiologic procedures as ordered by the physician.  Assists the physician during casting, treatment and examination of the patient.

  • Participates in educational sessions to improve skills as appropriate
  • Participates in the collection of quality data
  • Assists clinical staff providers with providing patients with outside resources and materials
  • Assists in identifying and documenting cultural and linguistic needs of patients
  • Assists in identifying and documenting advanced directives
  • Assists clinical staff and providers with obtaining ER and Hospital information
  • Assists in arranging follow up appointments as indicated by clinical staff and providers
