You Will Be Responsible For:

•               Develops and oversees the Region and Facility level metrics, reports and presentations for Utilization Management and other strategic initiatives

•               In partnership with the Care Management Directors, develops project plans, implementation and evaluation of initiatives

•               Works with CM Directors and Managers across the region to develop standard Utilization Management and Care Coordination metrics

•               Interacts effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels, including executives and physicians to affect change within the organization

•               Maintains accurate documentation and status of project timelines and keep team stakeholders and executive leadership informed of project status

•               Facilitates cross-functional meetings and discussions to address roadblocks and ensure critical milestones and deliverables are completed in a timely manner. Travels between local locations as required for meetings & observations

•               Develops and manages communications and metric analysis and updates Utilization Management programs

•               Works with the respective leaders of the region clinical team to align work, drive performance and accelerate decision-making.

•               Utilizes project management methodology to assure the completion of critical projects and tracking of strategic priorities and initiatives for Utilization Management and Care Coordination

•               Prioritizes and manages multiple competing projects, deadlines, and customer relationships

•               Conduct observations, develop actionable plans, and implement viable solutions to problems identified. Proactively identifies potential project risks and takes steps to mitigate them.

•               Work independently leading projects of high impact and complexity

What You Will Need:

•         Bachelor’s degree in nursing

•         10 years of experience in Nursing

•         2 years of experience as a nurse in Care Management/Utilization Management

•         1 year of experience as a leader or project manager in a hospital

•      RN License in the state of Florida

Job Summary:

The Region Clinical Nurse Project Manager (RCN-PM) works under the direction of the Regional Executive Director of Care Management and Clinical Documentation Integrity (Reg Exec Dir CM and CDI) to plan, organize, implement and evaluate utilization management and care coordination initiatives.  This includes: advanced project management, change management, data monitoring, data analysis and executive project communications for regional and divisional initiatives for the six North Region Facilities. This includes regional and facility level data abstraction, monitoring and presentations for Utilization Review Committees, monthly Administration Council updates and presentations for CNO, CMO and CEC executive councils. The RCN-PM manages key initiatives for the Reg Exec Dir CM and CDI through active engagement with multi-disciplinary leadership across the region and division. This role serves as a clinical expert in Utilization Management and partners with facility CM Directors, CNOs, Physician Advisors and CMOs to implement and sustain Utilization Management best practices at each hospital.  The RCN-PM monitors revenue cycle trends and issues with third party payers and serves as the Region Utilization Lead on the Payer Joint Operating Calls.  The RCN-PM analyzes denials and write offs under direction of the Reg Exec Dir CM and CDI and in partnership with the Care Management Directors at each facility, creates action plans and monitors for improvement.  The RCN-PM facilitates collaborative relationships with Campus, Region, Division and Corporate leaders to optimize the clinical revenue cycle and care coordination.
