Work Hours/Shift:

Full Time/Days

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Assesses, plans, organizes, coordinates, implements, tracts and evaluates education activities for department of nursing and for other clinical areas as requested by Senior Leadership.
  • Utilizes online Learning Platforms, such as Adventhealth Learning Network.
  • Facilitates clinical orientation.
  • Works with Human Resources for hospital orientation.
  • Coordinates certification programs provided by the hospital (e.g., BLS, ACLS).
  • Coordinates the clinical rotation with area school.
  • Serves as the primary contact for communication and issue resolution with area schools.
  • Assists by providing support to clinical areas as requested and as in within competency.
Qualifications

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or other related health care degree
  • Two years recent experience in acute patient care
  • Thorough understanding of hospital policies, procedures and legal aspects of acute care nursing.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Registered Nurse with licensure in the State of Florida
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

Job Summary:

Oversees organizational education program for the department of nursing.  Supports some educational activities for other clinical departments.  These learning activities are developed with hospital-wide goals for competency, orientation and education through identified performance improvement data, management/staff requests and needs assessments.
