AdventHealth Ocala is calling all Respiratory Therapists for a special Virtual hiring event.  Join us on Thursday, October 21st at AdventHealth Ocala from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Hiring Managers will be conducting virtual interviews and extending offers. Apply now for priority interviewing.

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

  • Graduate from a Respiratory Therapy program is required.  AAS or AS is required.
    • (Existing staff in this role that do not meet this requirement are considered grandfathered into the new requirements and are therefore exempt)
  • Must have valid Florida license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist or Certified Respiratory Therapist.
  • BLS certifications required.
  • ACLS, PALS, and NRP must be obtained within 90 days of hire
  • Current FT State License as Registered Respiratory Therapist or Certified Respiratory Therapist
  • Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or CRT credential from the NBRC

Job Summary:

The Respiratory Therapist performs all necessary routine respiratory care procedures associated with acute or critically ill neonatal, pediatric, or adult patient populations and is able to work independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.  He/she initiates and maintains appropriate therapy, including life support technique and equipment.  Provides, preventable, supportive, and corrective interventions related to the cardio-pulmonary system in assigned patient care areas in accordance with established hospital and departmental policies, procedures, and all applicable regulations and standards. Applies the knowledge and skill necessary to provide appropriate interactions with staff, patients, and families of all ages. Minimum competency in all applicable clinical skills must be demonstrated and maintained.  Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Adheres to AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies.
