You Will Be Responsible For:

- Follow-up on patient complaints utilizing Patient Care Problem Solving Process and/or Conflict Resolution Process to resolve patient care conflicts.
- Utilize Conflict Resolution Process to resolve conflicts and maintain collaborative relationships.

- Communicate staffing changes in a timely and effective manner to the facilitators.
- Responsible for the surgery call process after regular surgery hours, and facilitate emergency surgery scheduling with physicians
- Complete mandatory job requirements without prompting. Assume accountability for and initiate Performance Development Process.

Qualifications
What You Will Need:
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or obtained within 4 years of employment
- Kansas Registered Nurse License
- BCLS obtained through the American Heart Association
- ACLS obtained through the American Heart Association
Job Summary:
The Patient Care Supervisor (PCS) is accountable for administrative supervision of the hospital during the evening, weekends, and designated holidays hours. The PCS is responsible for acting as a role model for the vision and values of Shawnee Mission Medical Center. S/he is accountable for working within the parameters of the Kansas Nurse Practice Act, regulatory standards, established policies, protocols and procedures; and utilizes other pertinent references as guidelines for clinical practice. The PCS collaborates with patients, families, physicians and associates to meet customer needs and expectations in a patient focused/healing environment. PCS is accountable for administering, supervising and/or coaching this process to strengthen the accountable work team.
