You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Integrates the philosophy and objectives of AdventHealth in the framework of educational activities.
  • Collaborates with other Educators/Super Users to develop appropriate teaching opportunities for staff.
  • Knowledgeable in all aspects of EMR as it relates to nursing and ancillary staff.
  • Demonstrates principles of adult learning and appropriate educational methodologies in program design as evidenced by program outlines and learning modules.
  • Plans and develops educational programs for clinical staff based upon identified needs and stated objectives as documented in needs assessments, committee reports and verbal and written requests, coordinating with the Director of Behavioral Health.
  • Assists with development and continuous improvement of the nursing internship and nursing fellowship.
  • Collaborates with clinicians to determine problems and information needs and assists in the development of processes, procedures and policies to facilitate problem solutions and improve operation on a consistent basis.
  • Performs regular chart audits to identify areas for improvement and develops training plans to address these deficiencies through one-on-one or small group training sessions.
  • Uses critical thinking skills to project potential problems and solutions in training and data management.
  • Performs other position appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional and courteous manner.
  • Manages multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, maintaining a positive attitude and customer focus.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications

What You Will Need:

  • Licensed by the State Board of Nursing
  • Five years of hospital nursing, including experience in specialty area for which employee is responsible
  • Education experience preferred
  • BLS certification

Job Summary:

This competent level is responsible for staff development and for clinical staff training under the supervision of the Director of Behavioral Health Services This is done with respect to the team approach and with the assurance of a safe and comfortable staff and patient environment while recognizing and ensuring rights of each individual. This care is consistent with the hospital accountabilities, Standards of Practice and in support of the Nursing Service and patient care goals.
