Work Hours/Shifts: 

PRN Days ICU, ED & House Supervision. Nurse must be available to work between both Murray & Gordon Hospitals. If the RN is not needed in tier 4 then they will be floated to work in either tiers 1 or 2 based on competency skills. The tier 4 position requires a minimum of 1 shift per week, including 1 weekend day/month and 1 major & 1 minor holiday per year.

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Gathers data/assess/reassess all populations served and complete primary assessment of all newly admitted and transferred patients
  • Supervises Nursing Assistants in the process of basic nursing functions
  • Acts as preceptor when needed
  • Provides education to patients and families from admission to discharge
  • Demonstrates proficient technical skills and operational knowledge on all equipment used on the unit



Qualifications

What You Will Need:

  • ASN or BSN degree
  • Current GA RN license
  • Current  BCLS/ACLS/PALS required
  • Bed management and bed assignment experience required
  •  2 years minimum nursing care with at least 1 year charge nurse experience required. 

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients on the unit and for the day-to-day management and supervision of related clinical activities. The RN is also responsible for supervising and responsibly directing the activities of various levels of assigned nursing and ancillary personnel.
