The role you’ll contribute:

Provides security services to ensure a safe environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Investigates, documents and manages security incidents and hazards.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

  • Performs proactive monitoring of and timely responses to potential/actual security threats
  • Maintains knowledge/follows policies and procedures regarding alarms and emergency/disaster preparedness plans. Facilitates planned drills and simulations
  • Provides information and assistance to staff and visitors to promote safety.                                                                                               
  • Periodically patrols buildings and grounds of industrial plants, commercial establishments, docks, for both on campus or offsite facilities
  • Locks and secures doors after hours according to schedule
  • Responds to emergency calls for assistance to control disorderly conduct or combative patients and/or visitors

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

  • High School Education or equivalent
  • One year experience of security, law enforcement, emergency medical services (EMS), firefighting, military role
  • Certified in the use of Conductive Energy Weapons
  • Current peace officer license issued by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCLE)
