You Will Be Responsible For:   

  • Strategic oversight of the Education department to include development of education plans to meet department existing and future anticipated needs providing the ability for the operational areas to operate effectively and ensure financial integrity in the changing healthcare environment. Collaborate strategically with the Executive Leadership, Department Directors/Managers and Projects Team to develop an effective education program. Participates in all committees where a strategic education oversight is needed. 
  • Provide leadership oversight and guidance to the Education department and Change Management specialists in creation of education materials to include objective and content development, and delivery. Oversight of the organization and development of education and training programs, classes, and seminars. Responsibility for the oversight of new hire orientation and continuing education for staff development, and delivery of compliance and payer related education. Responsible for guidance and oversight of educational initiatives which adhere to HIPAA regulations. Drives operational workflow with accountability for meeting established goals. Responsible for providing team members with the tools and training needed to effectively meet these goals.
  • Management oversight of the development, publication, and education of all compliance specific forms, brochures, and publications. Works closely with AH Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, MIS, and department leadership; notifying, auditing, and ensuring that all items (i.e. signage, brochures, patient forms, etc.…) meet compliance regulations and laws from AHCA, OSHA, other regulatory agencies, or the State of Florida. Attends AdventHealth Educators Council and department meetings to ensure departmental compliance with all hospital directives and informs/educates impacting department.
  • Works in collaboration with the Systems Support leadership to develop education for staff for new and/or developing hardware and/or software programs. Ensures incorporation of all system and technology related items into education plans.
  • Responsible for identifying education needs through audit outcomes and development of education for staff to improve employee quality, accuracy and enhance the customer experience.

What Will You Need:        


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Nursing Informatics, or related field OR Four years of equivalent progressive practical experience in healthcare.
Education Preferred:
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Information Technology, Finance, Health Services Administration, Communication or related field.


  • Three years of management and/or leadership experience.
  • Four years of experience as a Financial Analyst, Systems Analyst or equivalent role.
Experience Preferred:
  • Formal education or experience in statistics.
  • Three years of experience in program/project management.
  • Five years of management and/or leadership experience
  • Fifteen or more years of experience in a healthcare organization.
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Preferred:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Lean/Six Sigma Certification
  • Prosci Change Management certification
Job Summary:

The Financial Informatics Senior Manager is responsible for transforming Financial Integrity strategy into procedures that ensure financial information flowing through financial, revenue cycle and clinical systems is relevant, accurate and timely to the decisions being made by financial and operational executives, leaders and staff.  The Senior Manager oversees value delivery of projects in support of strategic programs.  Provides leadership and direction to project teams and is responsible for achieving project objectives, such as increased value, mitigated risks, improved patient outcomes, and better business decisions.  Acts as an overall manager and facilitator for implementation of projects.  Leads, develops and monitors the design, validation, certification and implementation of best practices in systems and processes, ensuring the integrity, effectiveness, and efficiency in accomplishing strategic objectives. Performs issues resolution on complex problems during the auditing process, has ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, recommend mitigations and draw valid conclusions.  The Senior Manager leads teams in performing queries and interpretations of an extensive variety of data, and conveys results in written, verbal, diagram and presentation form.  Works on complex projects, diagnosing complicated issues by utilizing trouble-shooting and problem-solving capabilities, relying on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.  Works, interacts, and communicates independently with all levels of the organization, including internal staff, corporate partners, and external vendors. Manages analysts and serves as a mentor encouraging their ongoing development. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
