You Will Be Responsible For:  
  • In partnership with the Director of Institute development, has key accountability for the pursuit of the NCI designation multi-year program initiative.  Acts as a liaison between business users and implementation team, communicating appropriately and effectively with co-workers, customers and supervisors, maintaining awareness of program status and any potential delay, situation or concern that may affect the outcome of the program.

  • Leads a team of Program Managers responsible for tracking, coordination, and implementation planning from concept to completion of goals and objectives for strategic program initiatives of AHRI.

  • Oversees monitoring and reporting on status of programs to all stakeholders, including program budget and resource allocation, timelines and program deliverables using appropriate tools to ensure consistent outcomes and experience.  Develops and implements strategies to maximize performance, centralization of key functions, collaboration with stakeholders, dissemination of information pertaining to the AHRI.
  • Contributes to the development of annual budgets for Institute Development, and specifically prepares and controls annual budget for the program management team that to support continued growth of clinical research within AHRI.

  • Collaborates with the Director to organize collaborative growth planning related to minimum 5-year process for highly complex NCI consortium, and sustainability post launch.  Includes planning and launch of NCI related programs including early stage clinical trials unit, value-based care, genomics.  

  • Oversees overall staffing for subordinate program managers within the department.  Ensures staffing is effective and efficient and promotes core values.  Assures that staff is representative of the population diversity through oversight of recruitment, selection and retention of personnel.  Ensures that staff are actively engaged in decisions within their scope of practice.

     

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

  • Project Management or Six Sigma certification.

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field

  • 8 years of strategy and planning, initiative execution and tracking, program management, dashboard development and delivery.

  • 5 years in a leadership position in a clinical research operations or healthcare setting.

  • Prior work experience in business planning, financial modeling, portfolio management and/or project management

  • Ability to manage a team of program managers setting clear expectations, developing and standardizing work processes for the team.

  • Master’s degree in related field  (preferred)

  • Certification in healthcare, business planning, portfolio/project management  (preferred)

     

     

    Job Summary:

    Reporting to the Director of Institute Development, the Senior Manager, Institute Development leads a team of Program Managers responsible for tracking, coordination, and implementation planning for research programs across all therapeutic areas from concept to completion of goals and objectives.  Elevates the impact of research as it ties to the AdventHealth Institutes; Cancer, Cardiovascular, Digestive Health & Surgery, Neuroscience and Ortho.  This position collaborates with the Director to organize collaborative growth planning related to minimum 5-year process for highly complex NCI consortium, and sustainability post launch.
