Work Hours/Shift:   Full Time Days

You Will Be Responsible For:    

  • Manages all processes for the medical staff department accounting system including invoice entry, refunds, physician stipends, and reconciliation of statements.  Be able to provide recommendations for efficient utilization of resources and cost savings.
  • Manages the Code of Conduct Committee meetings, including sending correspondence, agenda preparation, recording of minutes and all meeting follow-up.  Establishes and maintains in a confidential, efficient and organized manner, all medical staff confidential files.
  • Manages the Bylaws Committee and Bylaws Work Group meetings, including agenda preparation, recording of minutes and all meeting follow-up. 
  • Manages all  materials for the Professional Affairs Committee and the Governing Board, including agenda preparation, PowerPoint presentation for the President of the Medical Staff and recording of minutes of Professional Affairs Committee.
  • Responsible for maintaining and incorporating all approved changes for the Medical Staff governing documents.
  • Responsible for all operational reporting and timely submission of all medical staff reports to other hospital departments as required and requested including data requests from Risk Management.
  • Responsible for developing, automating, assessing, and recommending productivity dashboards and report cards for the medical staff and medical staff leadership.  Evaluates performance against metrics to determine acceptable levels of quality and efficiency for various business functions.  Be able to provide recommendations for process improvements based on the analysis performed.
  • Acts appropriately to support quality management and process improvements while ensuring compliance with the governing documents, accreditation standards and state and federal laws.
  • Conducts analysis, documents process, develops and implements effective processes and optimizes personal performance and reduce cost.  Supports and provides leadership with feedback and findings for process improvement
  • Responsible for the process training of new operational employees and providing ongoing feedback throughout the training period to the Operations Manager.
  • Manages the orientation and onboarding of all system medical staff department chairpersons
  • Supervises the performance of the Medical Staff Coordinator in their daily management of the system medical staff department meeting functions.  Acts as backup for all system department meetings if needed.  
  • Keeps informed of industry trends, accreditation standards, and state and federal laws
  • Performs other duties as assigned

What You Will Need:


  • Bachelor’s degree and/or
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a healthcare environment

Actively participates in outstanding customer service while managing a variety of medical staff meetings and projects, including the independent performance of a wide range of complex operational duties and a multitude of office procedures in support of the Operations Manager of Medical Staff Services and the officers of the medical staff.  Provides subject matter expertise on organizational performance and statistical functions while supporting system applications, initiatives and projects
