You Will Be Responsible For:

  1. Coordinates the activities to assure nursing department staffing needs are identified:
    • Accurately performs job role without the need for close supervision
    • Functions effectively in stressful situations and prioritizes efficiently and effectively.
    • Recognizes emergency situations and responds appropriately.
    • Assures daily staffing sheets are complete and accurate.
    • Reports staffing concerns/issues/resignations to appropriate manager or director.
    • Maintains communication with Nursing Supervisors and Leaders
    • Responsible for all duties associated with staffing reassignments for the betterment of patient care delivery
    • Supports internal and external nursing staffing contracts with accuracy for meeting completion requirements
    • Oversees the maintenance of the mass communication tool of team members contact information including, home and mobile telephone numbers and use for rapid message sending for shift opportunities

  1. Participate in the establishment of departmental objectives and the tracking and reporting of performance, including but not limited to overtime, agency usage and quality assurance initiatives

  1. Coordinates staffing within guidelines
    • Coordinates daily communication of staffing needs with all three facilities to review staffing needs
    • Maintains staffing to department matrix, or nurse manager’s acuity direction
    • Assists with the development and maintenance of six-week staffing schedules as requested by the unit’s manager or director.
    • Communicates to all 3 campus daily
    • Participates in implementing new staffing policies/procedures as assigned.
    • Utilizes Part Time/Per Diem/Clinical Internal Agency/PRN Agency staff to alleviate overtime & agency use.
    • Reviews employee attendance of unscheduled time off (call-off) and communicate areas of concern to appropriate Nursing Managers/Directors
    • Provides education to staff including managers and directors to promote efficient and effective use of the electronic staffing program.
    • Supports staffing planning and implementation both pre and post disaster

  1. Is proficient in all aspects of the TalentMatch tool and serves as a resource.  Contingent worker
    • Integrates redeployment tool with supporting staffing needs at all 3 campuses Is accountable to the designated redeployment Leader, working effectively with CNO, HR, and other departments as required for all 3 campuses
    • Ensures tool up to date and accurate
    • Ability to manage high volume of detail-oriented work efficiently and accurately
    • Provides oversight for Travelers and Contingent workers

  1.  Monitors compliance with Time and Attendance System
    • Reviews internal per diem float staff adherence to time and attendance in regards to current policies (sick calls, tardiness) and document to agency and give counseling to personnel.
    • Assists with completion of time and attendance input by individual nursing departments as requested.  
    • Assures that employee and contingent worker time is reported accurately and assists in preparation of payroll and or billing and resolution of discrepancies
    • Reconciliation of worked hours related to deployment cost centers

    • Other duties as assigned
    • Participates in community outreach, marketing and altruistic service

  • Minimum High School education or equivalent
  • Computer experience proficient in staffing software, Microsoft office tools
  • Excellent communication, organizational and customer service skills
  • 1-2 years Supervisory experience


  • College and/or business training
  • Previous personnel staffing experience
