Work Hours/Shift:

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Support the training efforts related to athenahealth and Cerner, other software applications, and continuing education training across the medical group.
  • Leads staff with exemplary practices when hiring, training, coaching, evaluating and implementing the progressive discipline policy when necessary.
  • Responsible for ensuring effective communication with all staff regarding policies, procedures, forms, changes, and requirements. 
  • Ensures all staff adheres to compliance regulations, AHMG policies and procedures
  • Ensures that staff’s time and attendance are tracked in a timely fashion
  • Manages the daily operations of the training team and ensures the coordination of the work activities and staff schedules. 
  • Deploy a wide variety of training methods, reimagining creative and innovative tools, techniques and approaches to achieve excellent comprehension, proficiency, and performance results from end users.
  • Assess the delivery of effective functionality and work flow training to end users.
  • Assist in performing learning needs analysis and modify training plan as needed to ensure success of the training.
  • Identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed and collaboratively devise and deploy the most appropriate training and education strategies to resolve these gaps
  • Identify and effectively communicate any potential barriers, risks or delays as it pertains to training and the overall learning plan/strategy including challenges related to logistics, change management, user skill sets, available tools, etc.
  • Collaboratively monitor and evaluate the training and education programs’ effectiveness and success periodically to recommend and participate in the development and implementation of ongoing improvements.
  • Serve as a liaison between the medical groups and Physician Enterprise and Adventist Information Technology (AIT) teams.
  • Identify significant process issues, share findings with medical group leadership and Physician Enterprise and AIT teams to improve future training materials, education methods, and monitoring tools and metrics.
  • Collaboratively define and communicate best practice work flows and system use by clinical and non-clinical physician practice users.
  • Facilitate assessment of work flow processes before, during, and after system implementation.

What You Will Need:
  • High School graduate required
  • 5 years training experience in a healthcare environment
  • 3 years physician practice operations experience
  • Experienced in application of Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Microsoft Word and PowerPoint skills and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Job Summary:

The Training Manager will have oversight and management of the training analysts and activation support team and will ensure the development and implementation of effective training plans for assigned projects. The Training Manager will collaborate with the Quality Outcomes Manager to support training of quality initiatives for the organization. They will also collaborate with the Training Delivery Manager for the region as well as medical group leadership to identify, assess, prioritize, and address training and development needs among practice end users.  The Manager will maintain objectivity by assessing and prioritizing training needs based on performance and compliance in respect to training plan goals and targets.  They will provide leadership and guidance to their team members to ensure standardized delivery among the medical group and Physician Enterprise.

The Manager will collaborate with the Physician Enterprise Practice Performance team to ensure that training content is developed and constantly refined to improve outcomes, and to ensure the training delivered supports the process improvement and optimization targets identified by the Practice Performance Consultants and Executive Director. The Manager will need to build and maintain effective relationships with medical group customers as well as peers and other members of the Physician Enterprise Practice Performance team through collaboration with clinical, financial, operations, and access team representatives to ensure the designed training strategies and education programs support best practice work flows.

The Manager will maintain and display subject matter expertise in the Athena Collector and Clinicals application, Cerner ambulatory application, and in-depth experience with helping offices achieve quality measures through strong leadership skills.
