Work Hours/Shift:

Full Time Days

You Will Be Responsible For:

Performs clerical duties such as document processing and data entry.  Directs incoming telephone calls, schedules patient appointments and serves as the first point of contact for most customers.  Coordinates duties with input of multidisciplinary team.

    • Provides clerical support to the unit/department resulting in effective and organized operations.

  • Demonstrates priority setting and organizational skills.

  • Performs transcription, order entry and related clerical duties accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Maintains appropriate levels of unit forms and other supplies to ensure the continuity of service.

  • Promptly completes requests for procuring supply needs as directed.

  • Provides quality customer services to external and internal customers via telephone and in person or via email correspondence to ensure appropriate communication.

  • Answers telephones and directs incoming calls in a courteous and timely manner.

  • Schedules patients and makes referrals in a manner that enhances the patient flow process.

  • Ensures patient records are accurately labeled and demographic information is entered in a timely manner.

  • Provides data entry of medical and financial information (physician orders, Medical Record information, patient demographics, patient charges) to contribute to the efficient and timely coordination of services.

  • Demonstrates ability to execute accurate patient charges and order entry.

  • Ensures patient records are accurately labeled and demographic information is entered.


What You Will Need:


•          HS Diploma or equivalent

•          Minimum 1-year secretarial experience in health setting.  

•          Must be familiar with medical terminology and computerized order entry.

•          Demonstrate strong customer service skills and the ability to work well in high volume/stressful environment.
