Schedule: Flexible day shift. 20 hours per week. Remote w/ occasional meetings onsite.

The role you’ll contribute:

The Medical Staff Coordinator is primarily responsible for the coordination and preparation of medical staff credentialing and privileging; Responsible to maintain electronic physician files, and coordinate the appointment and reappointment processes. Coordinates as necessary with the CVO to review and route providers for committee approval of privileges. Responsible for following up on flags identified during the credentialing process. Coordinates New Provider Orientation. Collects data for the purpose of initial FPPE; Responsible for constructing ED Call Schedule that meets the requirements of the Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules, and Regulations. Assists with survey preparation and maintaining compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Performs the credentialing and privileging process of the Medical Staff.

1.1 Coordinates initial appointment and reappointment processes for Medical Staff and Allied Health Professional.

1.2 Communicates regularly with all applicants regarding information needed for completion of applications.

1.3 Coordinates all queries needed for appointment applications including personal and professional references, hospital affiliations, education, required data banks, and professional licensure information and follows established guidelines.

2. Performs administrative and clerical support functions for the Medical Staff Services Department.

2.1 Maintains departmental records (including the credentialing database) to ensure the expeditious retrieval of information.

2.2 Coordinates the assemblage of credentialing application packets and orientation materials.

2.3 Tracks collection of annual Medical Staff Dues

2.4 Abstracts information and data to assist Medical Staff proctors with initial FPPE competency assessment.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :

· High school graduate or equivalent required

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED :

Very detail oriented. Very organized. Strong computer skills. A candidate with past administrative asst experience.
