Work Hours/Shift:

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Demonstrates significant proficiency and initiative in assigned applications, proactively seeking ways to produce high quality, efficient work.
  • Actively and honestly communicates relevant information to Supervisor, team members, customers and vendors in a timely manner and with tact and diplomacy, taking necessary precautions to guard confidential information.
  • Regularly communicates to Supervisor with a written status report, summarizing applicable schedules, tasks, issues and overall status of active projects.
  • Consistently exhibits responsiveness to others in the organization at all levels (i.e., returning phone calls, returning emails, being punctual for meetings, maintaining availability to meet, etc.). 
  • Provides team leadership for projects as assigned, identifying required deliverables, timeline, tasks and resources.
  • Understands and applies quality assurance and risk management procedures in all areas of work performed.
  • Ensures the team has and follows appropriate test plans and processes for adequate testing of assigned applications and related upgrades and enhancements.
  • Follows department and company standard methodology and procedures, including ITSM.
  • Provide excellent customer service by ensuring appropriate support procedures are followed with regards to department service level targets, including responding to support tickets, on call schedule and request prioritization.
  • Maintains effective system documentation for all supported applications, working closely with the technical teams and vendors to ensure system knowledge is up to date and accessible.
  • Plans and organizes the daily operational duties of team, prioritizing activities, and utilizing supportive personnel to the maximum for cost efficiency in view of overall administrative work flow.  Intervenes when necessary to aid the group in resolving issues.
  • Manages all assigned personnel activities (i.e. Hiring, terminations, training, coaching, appraisals, rewards, motivation, disciplines, etc.) in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Resolves employee satisfaction concerns in a timely manner, assuring they have been thoroughly investigated and appropriate actions taken, including notification of AHS-IS Human Resources and/or local facility Human Resources, if necessary.

What You Will Need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field is preferred. 
  • Equivalent background or skills gained through work experience will be considered.
  • IT management experience in a healthcare-related organization preferred.
Job Summary:

This position is responsible for the analysis, planning, implementation, evaluation, and support of software applications and initiatives to support hospital and AHS strategic goals.  They act as the team leader on medium to more complex projects as assigned.  They develop information technology expertise and application knowledge and translate that expertise into solutions for customers and the support team.  They work with application software users to identify opportunities for improvement and solutions to business problems using the software and automation.  They will develop test plans, and perform application tests to ensure accuracy, integrity, inter-operability and completeness to achieve desired results.  They will also prepare and conduct training for end users.
