Work Hours/Shift:
  • Full-Time, Monday – Friday

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Develops, implements, and maintains ongoing training implementation program for clinical information system (Vision) for physicians, their staff, and facility clinicians as needed.  This will include training manuals, computer based training, and identifying and coordinating education needs  on location as well as other media.
  • Demonstrates strong customer service focus for all internal and external customers
  • Collaborates with other departments as necessary to meet physician/ office staff and facility staff educational needs
  • Responds to physician/ staff application concerns as soon as possible, taking appropriates steps to resolve in a timely manner
  • Maintains working knowledge of organization activities, applications, concepts and operational procedures.  Also communicates suggestions, criticisms and questions to Clinical Informatics Director
  • Assist with pilot programs implementation programs including Backload of Data, and any post implementation tasks
  • Attends/participates in mandatory facility-wide and department training/meetings as required including but not limited to: department Huddles, annual education, safety training, Town Halls, etc.  Is able to demonstrate and apply knowledge of fire, safety, security, disaster procedure regulations and National/ State Quality Measures as presented in orientation, outlined in safety manual, and as pertains to each work area.
  • Required to respond to emergency situations (i.e., disasters, hurricanes, etc.) by reporting to department and staying until the crisis is over or position is covered by incoming personnel. Please note: Refusal to respond may result in termination.
  • Extensive travel to facility locations for extended assignments
Qualifications
What You Will Need:

Education and Experience Required:

  • Minimum of three years healthcare experience.

Licensure, Certification or Registration Required:

  • LPN License

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Must have knowledge and experience with Electronic Information Systems (e.g. Electronic Health Record)
  • Strong computer skills including basic troubleshooting, and critical thinking
  • Strong clinical workflow knowledge
Job Summary:

The Clinical Informatics Specialist integrates clinical skills, computer science and information science to identify, analyze and transmit information to make it meaningful and useful to clinical practice.  This includes the development, evaluation, adaptation and customization of applications, tools, processes, and structures that support clinical practice both in the facilities and office practice settings.
