You Will Be Responsible For:
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services, including primary and consultative services, to health care providers and patients to ensure optimal drug utilization in assigned specialty area(s).
  • Assist in the planning and development of clinical pharmacy activities related to specialty area(s).
  • Participate in clinical research as assigned.
  • Responsible for compounding and dispensing medications and parenteral admixtures in accordance with established Federal and State regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Effectively verify patient medication orders for appropriateness and accuracy.
  • Provide education and training to pharmacy students, medical staff physicians and nurses, and healthcare-related professionals.  

Qualifications
What You Will Need:
  • Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy with a Bachelor’s of Pharmacy
  • American Society of Health-System Pharmacist (ASHP) Board Certification
  • Licensed as a registered pharmacist in the state of Florida.
  • ACLS certification
  • PALS certification
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (preferred)
  • ASHP accredited Pharmacy Practice Residency (preferred)
  • BCPS (preferred)
 
Job Summary:

Responsible for developing and providing clinical pharmacy services directed to the general patient population at AdventHealth Tampa.
