Work Hours/Shift:
  • Full Time/M-F; 8am-5pm
You Will Be Responsible For:    
  • Screen all professionalism reports received. Assign a priority status to each report according to department SOP.
  • Collaborate frequently with department director, legal counsel, Peer Review leadership, administration, medical staff leadership.
  • Prepare a summary of all professionalism reports and recommendations for regular review with department director as outlined in department SOP and policies.
  • Conduct investigations related to professionalism reports received. Evaluate all professionalism reports and make initial recommendation for action, including but not limited to additional information gathering, referral to external department, collegial intervention.
  • Identify resources for provider wellbeing, support, or education as needed. Initiate review of concerns based on report including but not limited to site visit, interviews with involved parties, review of additional documentation/information.
  • Manage coordination and tracking of reports within the Department of Professionalism as outlined by policy and SOP.
  • Provide analysis of trends in data received and summarize reports/presentations for executive physician and hospital leadership


Qualifications
What You Will Need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Nursing or other Healthcare related field
  • 5 years’ experience in a hospital setting or other applicable healthcare setting
  • If a nurse, current valid State of Florida or multi state license as a Registered Nurse OR
    • State License for other clinical fields as applicable in these professions: Speech Pathologist, Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Respiratory Therapist, Pharmacist, Radiology Tech, Physician Assistant OR
    • If a psychologist, no licensure requirement (only Bachelor’s degree in Psychology required)
  • Master’s degree in nursing, or Healthcare related field (Preferred)
  • State license as applicable for Applicants with a master’s degree in psychology (Preferred)
Job Summary:
 

The Manager of Professionalism is responsible for working collaboratively with the Department of Professionalism Director to screen and evaluate reports received within the Department of Professionalism. In conjunction with the department director, utilizes policies, standard operating procedures and critical thinking to provide initial evaluation and recommendation for reports received within the Department of Professionalism to ensure proper identification of issues and actions to be taken. Responsible for tracking all reports received into the department and maintaining appropriate records of reports, referrals and actions as outlined in applicable policies and procedures. Assists the director and other hospital leadership to evaluate educational needs and resources to help facilitate professionalism throughout AdventHealth Orlando. Responsible for ensuring the department remains compliant with all regulatory requirements, state and federal laws. Works collaboratively with legal counsel and interdepartmental leaders as needed.
