Knowledge and Skills Required:
HS Diploma or equivalent
Education and Experience Required:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check, nicotine test, and drug screen
- Must be able to pass a Level II background check
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Most recent cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is strongly preferred
- Must complete a separate application for the school's C.N.A. Program
- Must meet the school's C.N.A. Program requirements
- Upon completion of C.N.A. course, accept Full-Time C.N.A. position with AdventHealth
- Commence Full-Time C.N.A. employment with AdventHealth Ocala upon completion of C.N.A. course and be competent to perform patient care tasks in a safe manner without significant deviations from the standard of care.
Job Summary:
Enroll in a C.N.A. prep course with intent to complete, become registered with the Florida Department of health (DOH) and become employed Full-Time as a certified nurse assistant (C.N.A.) with AdventHealth Ocala. AdventHealth Ocala will cover all tuition expenses for selected candidates. Candidate is expected to provide three (3) years' Full-Time employment post-hire. Candidate will learn to assist patients with the activities of daily living, performs patient care tasks and maintains a safe and clean environment. Full-Time CNAs complete tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse within the scope of practice as defined by the Florida State Board of Nursing.
