Work Hours/Shift:

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Collaborate with facilities in the collection of data to support the development of Community Health Needs Assessments (CHNA).

  • Assist with the development of materials to streamline the CHNA development and approval process.

  • Identify and research nationwide best practices to improve system tracking procedures and policies.

  • Review and edit CHNAs from across the organization to ensure regulatory requirements are met.

  • Aggregate CHNA data and run reports for ongoing projects to support community benefit projects and strategy.

  • Assist in the development and tracking of community health initiatives to create and capture robust metrics.

  • Coordinate with the facilities in the organization to capture in-kind donations identified in their Community Health Plan (CHP) for IRS tracking.  

  • Identify internal community benefit programs with opportunities for development and growth.

  • Review and edit CHPs from the facilities to ensure regulatory requirements are met.

  • Aggregate CHP data and run reports for development and tracking to support community benefit strategy.  

  • Community Benefit Inventory for Social Accountability (CBISA) platform

  • Enter and update information quarterly to ensure accurate in-kind donation tracking.

  • Provide CBISA support to community benefit teams in the organization.

  • Identify new opportunities for tracking.

  • AdventHealth Engagement Network

  • Create and run data reports for facilities to support CHNA development.

  • Identify region-specific data sets that can be utilized in the organization.

  • Provide Engagement Network Support for facilities.


What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in public health, policy, community health, population health or related field.  

  • 2-years’ experience in community or public health, policy or related field.

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and ability.

  • Strong planning and organizational skills; proven ability to multi-task and attention to detail.

  • Flexibility and adaptability to deal with changing priorities, manage time efficiently and meet deadlines.

  • Knowledge of community benefit activities.

  • Data management and analysis.

  • Team-oriented and proactive self-motivated professional.

  • Strong Microsoft application skills- PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook.

  • The ability to work independently.


Job Summary:

The community benefit coordinator, supporting the community benefit manager, assumes responsibility for assisting in the development and operations of meaningful community benefit initiatives to elevate AdventHealth’s commitment to improve community health, prosperity and well-being. This role will support and coordinate the manager’s strategy for community benefit work at facilities across the organization; including the development and reviews of Community Health Needs Assessments and Community Health Plans, the tracking of community benefit activities through CBISA and the management of the AdventHealth engagement network.
